Fely J's is a Good Option for Delicious Filipino Food

Contrary to most reviews about Fely J's, I actually enjoyed the food when I once had the chance to have lunch here with my colleagues. The place is like an old dining place decorated with old photos in a traditional Filipino home.

Fely J's offers delicious home-cooked dishes such as Dinuguan, Sisig and Gising-Gising. For those who want something healthy, try the Crispy Hito. It's one big, whole catfish that is fried to a crisp and served with fresh mustard leaves and balaw-balaw. Balaw-balaw is similar to Buro or fermented rice and fish. Only for balaw-balaw, small shrimps are used instead of fish, rendering this dip a milder taste. Buro is saltier and more sour than Balaw-Balaw.

Most unforgettable for me was the Fely J's Dilis-cious Fried Rice. It's got a well-balanced taste; not too salty. Texture is also good with the little bits of crunchy dilis in each bite. Another must-try is the Sisig Fried Rice which is literally like fried rice mixed into sisig.
Service and price (around P300/head) are both satisfactory.
